don't their owners expect it ? spent a day with a trainer recently and over half his calls were from owners expecting him to know the afternoon results - had a pretty good stab at them too

Too many want a quick**and a massive profit i.e 500% per day .

Yeah , i agree mate its the only way - for me anyway .

Luke - ive got one like that -- but hes lovely with it - But struggling trainers with 10 or 12 horses most of them useless have to pretend they know the time of day to cling onto the hope that one day they might make it.
Its more the expectant owner or syndicates that think a trainer knows evrything about every race - I guess the struggling trainer just plays the game to try to satisfy their questions.
When it comes to calculating the chances of your horse winning - the trainers not always the best person to ask.
