His best run since winning a chase at the same meeting last year was a 2of17 in a class 1 at Cheltenham in November. That was at 3m4f, the only time he'd raced further than 3m1f. That's presumably why the handicapper rated him just a couple of pounds the previous years winner. The horse carried 11-5, not 10-0.
You'd have a much better point if he'd been assessed on the 3m festival hurdle under an amateur after a lay-off mentioned above, but he wasn't.

Its a classic jonjo training technique Pulled Up followed by a hosed up.

The Grand National is a one off race,

it is ludicrous for anyone to suggest they had plotted this horse up to win the race and in process, land a gamble !

I think you'll find that most trainers (if not all) aim to win the grand national or the festival races,

not many of them enter a horse in the grand national and NOT have it tuned to the minute.

I think the first point of this thread is a valid one. In all the celebrations and AP worshipping after the race did any pundit on TV give credit to the horse or an overview of his career or even question it's last race?

Let's not forget this horse whilst very talented (only horse to give Big Bucks a race in the last year or so imv) he has had a terrible reputation as a bit of a dodger. Often follows up a good run with a poor one just as he did last season before winning at Aintree. Plot horse or just unreliable? Probably the latter but it would be nice if enquiries were at least made.

Last time out DPI ran in a hurdle race after a lay off, how unusual is that. Before that, at warwick, he should have won but made a bad mistake at the last and before that he was beaten 1/2 length into second, staying on, and carrying top weight in a Grade 3 handicap at Cheltenham giving nearly 2 stone to the winner with Hello Bud, who finished 5th on Saturday, just behind.
How many clues do you guys want? Where in his last 6 runs has he been 'fiddled'. In his first handicap chase, on 4th April last year and at Aintree, he was rated 143 and won. Saturday he was rated 153 can someone of the above tell me how this horse has been fiddled. Anyone, please.

Just watched a video of his pulled up run, he was never travelling and hopelessly tailed off before 2 out. Ending up with no Postmark figure. Ok the fact that McCoy chose to ride it would highlight its chance. But I find the whole situation breaching the integrity of the sport.

Mordin the horse is owned by possibly the highest profile owner in the sport, trained by possibly the best known trainer in the sport, who is bang in form at present winning a Grade the day before, ridden by the 14 times champion jockey who chose this instead of 4 others in the race. He has been all over the TV and newspapers over recent weeks and his will to win is unquestionable. Add to this his mount on form had absolutely nothing to prove. How hard to please are you?

Sadly Hey I never backed it, I backed Snowy Morning and Arbor Supreme, but when I revisited the form it looked pretty obvious.
And Mordin the race you just watched was a hurdle race after a 4 months break.

When all this prize money is given to the winner and to those in the know who bet it for large sums hence the massive gamble,dont forget this VALUE is taken off the back of the pulled up effort.So where does this value come from.!st all the losing punters who backed it thinking i would win but was pulled up at Cheltenham.The punters who didnt back it at aintree looking at its poor pulled up form last out thinking it was a 66/1 chance never mind 10/1 fav.Its THIS money that pays for those that took the value.PULLED UP THEN HOSED UP thats how I would explain jonjos horses.HRA need to take a look at the national horse.

With the bookies 155% overround and the jonjon pulled up horse with no explaination after aintee grand national sucess it has to go down as the most disgraceful low point in this ''sport of kings'' ever.

FFS what explanation do you need dimwit, it's already been pointed out a few times that the pulled up run was after a 4 month break in a hurdle race !

That was a 2 1/2 mile race, 2 miles too short !

The run against Big Bucks last year is better than that bit of form above. He was the only horse to make ground from the rear and quicken with BB that day (joint favs i think). On that it's amazing he's only won once since (before sat).

Took Jonjo 15 goes to finally get the plot right
