I just don't understand why so many top trainers continue to press on with this theory..The only stable who seem to get it right more often than not is the Pipe team when they've got the cash down..

What theory is that Nomadic?

I thought he made a mistake a couple of years ago when he ran 5yo masterminded in the champion chase.

4 year olds taking on the older horse's in good class hurdle races. They're just asking to much from a young horse even if they are well forward in my opinion.

Is that backed up by stats, Nomadic, or just your opinion? I say just, i'm sure your opinion is very valid!
Report Nomadic Way April 14, 2010 9:42 AM BST
Just my opinion. But it would be interesting to see 4 yr stats in graded races taking on older horses over hurdles only.

Alas i only have Raceform Interactive for the Flat, so cant crunch those numbers....anybody else out there?!

Maybe he was not there to win, but to run well and gain the experience ahead of next season. Opportunites are running out at this stage of the season.
