I'm sure you must be mistaken m8 or not in the main betting ring. I've just checked my computer & my last show was 11/4 with overround of 117%.

Hoping at some point today my ears will stop ringing with the shrill screech of a scouse "ladies" accent. Did you see the 'Aintree Ladies Day in Pictures' on the Telegraph website? Very harsh but fair imo.

must admit im worried as im on a right medley of medication after my leg op believe it or not i have to take 29 tablets a day .

Oppenimear was the bookmaker im referring too, reading the forum his name has popped up elsewhere, he was 7-4 on an 11-4 shot, weather he is in the ring or one of the bookmakers by the paddock he is an on course bookmaker and shouldnt even have a license, in fact he should do time for daylight robbery.

"come racing" - biggest joke going, come and get your pants pulled down by on-course books! was at ascot last year and had a nosey round the thieves...watching them taking a bet of some mug then watching some shifty n0nce looking character bashing away the back button on the machine have some balls or fack orf home. |
|
By:

Paulie - so everyone on here is a shining light & everyone on course is a Dick Turpin? Dont let the truth get in the way of a good ole bit of bookie bashing eh? I'm very concerned about what people do one here, especially when they make consistent profits from laying horses who run below form from the same old stables. |
|
By:
cant beat a bit of bookies bashing ;)

Paulie If you think DIRK was a robber you should have seen his great grand father DICK now he was worse then the 1980- Aways..

here it is .... looks like the answer
----------------------------------------- Oppenheimer the bookmaker at Aintree, tut, tut charwell. 10 Apr 18:18 This chancer (IMHO) had his bookies pitch outside the parade ring on Friday and I was disgusted at the prices he was giving which were WAY below other bookies odds on each and every runner, The race I scrutinised Eg Offshore Account 9/2 (7 or 8's elsewhere) plus all the other runners in the race were about 30% lower than the other bookies eg State of Play 11's etc (sorry can't remember the whole field but trust me he was significantly shorter on each and every runner). I think he was making complete mugs out of the punters who know no better and it is outrageous. |

This chancer (IMHO) had his pub outside the main shopping street on Friday and I was disgusted at the prices he was giving which were WAY above supermarket prices on each and every drink brand
The tariff I scrutinised was about 30% higher than the supermarkets. I think he was making complete mug out of the drunks who know no better and it is outrageous. Where's the difference? We can all shop around if we want. We can choose not to bet, bet with a different bookie or use our phones. Some people choose convenience or atmosphere over raw value - its up to the individual. I'd rather drink in a pub knowing I'm paying more for my beer than I need to because I enjoy the atmosphere & interacting with other human beings. Sitting in your underwear betting on here all day is like buying cheap lager from the supermarket & drinking it at home alone. Not for me but if others choose to that's their option. |

If you think that the prices on the "Gus Oppenheim" board were rough, you never saw the prices that the old man used to bet to at Hazel Grove dog track in the 1950s.
