His pedigree certainly suggests further will be required in due course, but his half brother won over 6f in France at two, and I also think he will handle the testing conditions better than most today; also, it's hardly likely to be an out and out speed test on the heavy going and I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss him, though yard form an obvious concern (1-30 this year).

Lay it on the back of stable form if you're desperate to, but what's wrong with its breeding? Danehill Dancer out of a half sister to a pair of top class milers - not exactly likely to be lacking in pace on paper?

Sire: Danehill Dancer (IRE) (8.0f) Dam: Zibilene Dam's sire: Rainbow Quest (USA) (11.1f)

160,000gnsY; sixth foal; half-brother to useful French 6f and 7.5f winner Mathematician and 1m2f winner Aryamm; dam 1m4f winner, half-sister to Irish Guineas winners Barathea and Gossamer out of Foret winner Brocade.

dont look to have much speed there of the dam side all 1m plus horses, may well win but should be a 9/4 shot

Clearly more favoured than Samuel Morse which to me may have more pure pace in his breeding. Personally I think there's something to like in the Bolger filly which has pace with a touch of stamina too.

Gossamer was a winner on her debut over 6f. Also, as I said, Mathematician won over 6f in France, and his sire is also a speed influence, something which he has clearly inherited to be seen out this early and over this trip.

Based on breeding alone ....... Brookley Lady will win.
Report geoff m April 11, 2010 1:53 PM BST
plenty of speed & class in pedigree on dams side .
Brocade
Canton Silk
Habitat
Runnymede
Soft ground will put an emphasis on stamina
Its more whether hes tuned up for today.

Oracle too short a price, other horses better bred for this ground/trip, stable not got off to the best start. Radharcnafarraige looks much better on paper.
Oracle is a lay for me
Report Cream Of The Crop April 11, 2010 1:56 PM BST
I'd say Oracle is a lot likelier to go on this ground than Bolger's horse (his half sister was best on a sound surface), and there is plenty of speed in Oracle's pedigree, as mentioned above.

the right price now 2/1 9/4 ish layed at just ova 6/4 may bk in running
Report jay..b# April 11, 2010 2:04 PM BST
oracle related to horses who all run over 8-10f. none of which won on their first two career starts.

The bolger horse on the other hand related to Blas Ceoil; won over 5f on good-sft on second career outing

Oracle is a lay for me for all the reasons mentioned above
Report Cream Of The Crop April 11, 2010 2:09 PM BST
Danehill Dancer has clearly injected plenty of pace into him, and those siblings you mention were by Machiavellian, Cape Cross and Galileo.
Report boz2 April 11, 2010 2:10 PM BST
Samuel Morse looks reasoanable value at 9.6. Stable form could be on the up; the last 2 runners were 1st and 2nd. Good luck.

late support for the bolger horse
