I spoke to Lucinda Russell several days ago and Silver By Nature goes for this race not the bet365 gold cup or an alternative engagement in Ireland

If Denman ( 11stone 10 ) runs it will get in with exactly the minimum 10stone 0 and will, im my opinion, start favourite.

I took all the 7/1 each way 3 days ago but 6/1 is still a great bet.

I dont think Burton Point will run.

sbn needs soft ground..the sun is splitting the sky now and the forecast is good...no chance.

Unlucky not to win Welsh National atfer bad blunfer at last and beat Le Beau Bai 7 lengths in receipt of 4lb then won Blue Square Gold Cup beating Le Beau Bai by 20 lengths receiving only 2lbx

Up 13lb for that but an improving 8yo thorough stayer and twice a course winner. Needs it soft

I'd rather back it at 7-2 when I know the ground is right than 6-1 when I suspect it won't be

Denman won't run. Will carry top weight.

Crazy race to have a bet in when you don´t know the ground or the weight it will carry.

Worth posting just to namedrop though.

Report jolly buoy April 11, 2010 1:07 PM BST
They'll need to put the irish sea on it.

It's a 4 miler, good ground will suffice !
Report mrplacepot April 11, 2010 1:32 PM BST
weather is meant to be dry all week...i dont think Denman will turn up and not sure Silver By Nature will like the firming ground either....
Report Lee Mac April 11, 2010 1:34 PM BST
Can't see Denman running I'm just outside Ayr and it's great weather. I don't think watering willl make that big a difference if this keeps up.
Report the lay preacher April 11, 2010 1:56 PM BST
ground will be like a road unless they water like mad.
Report mrplacepot April 11, 2010 2:11 PM BST
