A winner fto for the past two seasons with ground he handles easily and inconveniences his main rival (Gan Amhras) I would expect him to have too many guns for his rivals today. Possible that he will be vulnerable over 10f in Group 1 company to speedier sorts in races such as the Prix Ganay and Tattersalls Gold Cup but today providing Jim hasn't got Gan Amhras back to his best he should be good enough to win imo.

I respect SNA but am happy to take him on over a mile. His Donny win was impressive enough from middle distance types but his 2 previous performances didn't give any hint of him being a Guineas prospect imo. APOB has nominated (last time I checked on his site) SNA, Viscount Nelson, Beethoven and Fencing Master as his likely Guineas team and of the other three I like Fencing Master best. The horse I have backed for the Guineas though is Awzaan. Unbeaten in four starts I regard his dismissal of v smart sprinters in the Middle Park, when he is not actually a sprinter himself imo, as a sure sign of class.

Btw Ballydoyle have let Sirgarfieldsobers (Authorized full bro) go and he is in at Ponte on Tuesday.

todays race though more i look at it, and the prices gan amhras ew very tempting

On his form prior to the Derby that's a massive price but he's been below par in all 3 post Guineas races. His RPR for his most recent run was lower than his debut figure.

hes bet at nearly 4/5 for sure.
either of those poor runs when finishing 6th at the end of last season would still be good enough to win this.

Gan Amhras hasnt run a race since the guineas and the rest of them are handicappers
