Can anybody, anywhere,help me??

Ive read these threads "national disgrace" from on course books, betfairs stance, punters threads everything?

After reading these can anybody tell me please how dont push it got returned at 10/1, when everywhere its been stated the lowest price it ever went on course was 14/1?

Thats a 4 point drop? something very naughty is going on here?

Like i said im a bit thick so what can be done to let the general public know that there friendly "happy to help" bookies have not been that helpful.

Thanks for reading.

This racing game is a free for all if you can get away with it good luck, it is a real dog eating dog scenario everyone who can seeing what they can get away with. I wish I could think of a few angles to increase my chances.

bookies wanted joint favs so you only get half stakes..simples.

It is not you sir, anyone who watched the betting 25mins to the off yesterday would be gobsmacked at the amount of horses bet? it was a quiet unbelievable sight and many of us have never seen that sort of pattern in a major race before on such a big scale? i still do not understand what went on? i am thick too!

BUT HOW WHEN STATED BY THE ON COURSE BOOKS THAT 14S WAS THE LOWEST IT WENT DID IT RETURN 10S??
Opps sorry for shouting. thats all i want to know, i dont understand?

Surely s/p means starting price does it not? or does it mean suckers/punish them.

Grimster - the price on course the winner was 9 10 or 12 for most of the last 15 minutes b4 the race. Prior to that the best seen was 16. You cant blame them as the course bookmakers had them 10 deep having £5 bets. Every year its the same - If I was standing at Aintree and I had once a year punters betting £5 -£10 bets e-way I would want to bet to 150.
The Grand national has always been the same and quotes about the big 3 losing 10 mill each is rubbish
Report metro john April 11, 2010 9:07 AM BST
it seems trainers targeted individual groups of bookmakers in a pre arranged way and got there runners to bet at the same time? wow

Hold on a min wee eck, yes il have one over them if i can,as they will me.We play in the big boys world, where it is dog eat dog.

Yesterday was diff, these spineless knock back merchants, preyed on the vunrable as usual, only thing im surprised at is it wasnt compulsory to have a spin on a fobt before your bet was placed

Ok well I only went down to have a gander and stretch my legs- not to bet. so i migfht be mistaken but i didnt see anything above 12-1 - you know what also happens Ladbrokes and co Do stump up and clean the front row 2 points on the top 6 every year - just before the off at Aintree not many betts are struck as 5 mins before the off all the loonys bolt for a perch - its easy for Ladbrokes to trim em.

I think racing should have a good look at want went on there and find out the truth? what did the press boys make of it? and will that change forever the way in which punters and bookmakers operate on a big race?

But only the once a year punters bet SP on the national. so is it such a crime - lets face it they only block the way to the till for 2 weeks after- asking if the bookmaker paid out on the 6th home and quiz why they only got back 15.50 when they laid out a tenner and the horse was placed
Report tambhoy5 April 11, 2010 9:27 AM BST

ap not the houswvies choice? r you jokin? i work in a bookies and for my cashiers and helpers on the day i wrote down which horse he was on as its the most commmonly asked question every year, every 'clueless' punter wants to back whoever they hear is the top jockey regardless, even if the hourse only has 3 legs. Good luck to everyone who had the winner even if 10/1 was a little skinny dont push it carried the largest volume of sinlge bets for us yesterday even if not he largest stakes

I fully agree its not queensbury rules - But Bookmakers as we all know are manipulators of the innocent. Whilst being scared stiff of the barrow boys.
