When was the last time a horse with 11-5 won the national? Does this now mean that horses with weight will start winning the national?

to encourage a better standard of horse the handicapper rates them slightly differently for the national, so you dont get top class horses giving lumps of weight away to the others.

How long has it been a compressed handicap? Last 2 years results were 11-0 and 11-5. Don't look unusual compared to 82 and 83 11-5 and 11-4.

Why whats different about them? Look about average weights to me.

Handicapper has genuinely ruined this race by turning it into a limited handicap.

Gone are the days when a small owner/trainer/jock could have a decent chance on this race. The Higher rated horses will win and bigger owners/trainers will clean up imho

Probably means those races from the 80's didnt have a top class horse at the top of the handicap.
