Not kept for this, was aimed at the Grand Annual but pulled out last minute when the ground got softer. Trainer has been saying he needs better ground and his defeat last time was because it was soft. It was also soft for his one and only win of any note, which is a little puzzling. But having said that, I think he looks a lovely horse, and could be anything. But he won't beat Osana.

THINK THE HORSE WILL LIKE THE BETTER GROUND BUT NOT SURE IF HE'S GOOD ENOUGH. WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE A LOT TO WIN TODAY IMO. I THINK I WILL BACK HIM ON THE CHANCE HE WILL IMPROVE FOR THE GROUND AS NICHOLLS HAS OBVIOUSLY SAVED HIM FOR TODAY.

He was the Nicholls Arkle horse until Xmas and may yet be the best 2 mile novice of the season.

They ae just totally different tracks. I wonder how many run at Aintree as an afterthought rather than being laid out for one biggie a la Imperial Comander

I think that honour goes to SE sageform, this was not the same class of race, despit the performance.

Beat Osana more easily that SE did and I backed SE at Cheltenham. I know that Tataniano still has it to prove but he did beat Pigeon Island easily at Cheltenham in November so acted there as well.
