I think this horse has a big chance in a race lacking any real depth. The top 2 in the market are obv dangers and Halo needs to step up but I think this trip will suit and @ 5/1 is a rock solid e/w shot tomw....

Any thoughts on this race/horse...ty?

i really like the horse, but can't forget last years horror show in the race
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:08 PM BST
i think hell start about 8 to 1 i honestly do . sounds like no 1 fancies him and i definitely dont
Report BarringtonB April 9, 2010 9:09 PM BST
I dont neccesarily agree that he needs a step up in trip, i believe hes just not quick enough to win the top level 2m hurdles,
I dont think he fully stays 2m4 and feel stepping up in trip just because he isnt quick enough is a mistake.

Having said that where do you go with him ? Arkle route according to Nicholls next year....
Report Redford_Blade April 9, 2010 9:09 PM BST
Its a fair point and he does have to improve it's form but at the prices and with the ?? over the top 2 (trip and form etc) I think CH can take this as the winner imo, comes from the one of the top 3 in the market...
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:10 PM BST
nicholls doesnt think he stays iva. should be put away for the season. but i think thell sell him soon he just cant compete near the top level now
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:12 PM BST
wat questions about zaynar ? trip and ground perfect. quwetwo big chance but worry trainer form. i think zayynars a gd bet as long as hes over the last 2 exertions
Report Ibrahima Sonko April 9, 2010 9:12 PM BST
My thoughts are a horse can only be peaked a few times during a season.

They are the ???? over Zaynar, how will he come on for those runs...
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:14 PM BST
could say the same of celestial halo
Report Redford_Blade April 9, 2010 9:15 PM BST
excatly what I said in my opening post - has to step up on seasons performances.....
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:16 PM BST
i think theyv lost faith in celestial halo . owner trainer and particularly ruby has never really spoke of it highly . stewart always going on saying hes not good enough and nicholls the same
Report The Destroyer April 9, 2010 9:17 PM BST
Khyber Kim best form in the book, amazed its not favourite tbh
Report Ibrahima Sonko April 9, 2010 9:18 PM BST
KK should be fav or joint with Zaynar
Report Redford_Blade April 9, 2010 9:18 PM BST
I would have said KK but has he the stamina for this. Also does it like the quick ground?
Report dananders April 9, 2010 9:19 PM BST
and is he better fresh. i think celestial is aswell
Report GRIZLY April 9, 2010 9:20 PM BST
people love the greys
Report The Destroyer April 9, 2010 9:21 PM BST
CH was Gd gd/sft so dont think ground is an issue for KK.

Should stay, need to have a bit of stamina to come 2nd in Champ Hurdle was still running on up the hill.
Report Redford_Blade April 9, 2010 9:22 PM BST
All good points fella's thanks...I am just trying to weigh this all up as on all known form it's between the top 3 and I thought CH was a great e/w price......maybe not??!
Report The Destroyer April 9, 2010 9:24 PM BST
If Souffleur doesn't run, C Halo isn't a good e/w price imo
Report The Destroyer April 9, 2010 11:55 PM BST
I keep watching the champ hurdle and KK pulls away from Zaynar up the hill, easily puts 4 lengths between them after jumping the last.

Hope Celestial sets good pace for him tomorrow, then can sprint away from the going to the last.
Report GRIZLY April 10, 2010 12:01 AM BST
zaynar acted as a pacemaker in the champion hurdle
he will be much better than that tommorow
but i still think kk wil win
Report walllace007 April 10, 2010 12:07 AM BST
Everything points to Zaynar, trip is perfect, he oozes class. The race will be set up for him. His two main opponents have not shown any sign that they can stay the trip. Ive been trying to find reasons not to lump on Zaynar but cant.

Unless lightning can strike twice with Quwetwo..
Report The Destroyer April 10, 2010 12:11 AM BST
Quwetwo will be in a different parish tomorrow, Zaynar gave him 8lbs that day when beat at Kelso.
Report The Destroyer April 10, 2010 12:11 AM BST
Run off levels tomorrow.
Report walllace007 April 10, 2010 12:50 AM BST
In that case according to all logic Zaynar must win.. Unless the form book gets**ed all over again..

N/R - 7 in the field...

I know :(
Report redal2 April 10, 2010 9:28 AM BST
Zaynar has looked like a horse wanting extra distance, a staying chaser of the future. The ground won't be a problem. Quwetwo is such a big horse that I can't think the faster ground will help him. I think KK was trained to the minute for the CH like Imperial Commander so I'd swerve him. Celestial Halo has let me down once too often. I can't see anything but Zaynar winning with maybe an outsider like Muirhead placing.
