Good 4th last year despite meeting bad interference at Bechers (2nd time). Been layed out for the race and with 5lbs less than last year must go close given a trouble free round. I`m on e/w @ 33/1 ante post. good luck. :D

would fancy state of play but the lack of a recent run is a concern, no horse has won the national without a run in the calendar year for years and years and years

Really big negative for the package is his age - This race hasn't been won by a 7 year old in at least 20 years and only 1 or2 eight year olds.

Lack of a run is a plus for State of Play Mythical, he always runs best when he's had a long lay off.

Not sure he stays myself, but wouldn't be worried about fitness.
