I love the sport too. I hate to see horses get hurt, but they do get hurt, so why pretend they don't?

i sed to love going to the slaughter house when i was a kid....part of growing up in the country....

i think there is some middle ground to be found between not 'pretending that horses dont die' and showing a nice slow motion replay of the horses dying seconds.

The going is too fast for this track. The same thing happened a couple of years ago. The idiots in charge put our sport at the mercy of the animal rights movement because they are completely brainless. Water the course and slow them down ffs.

A player breaks their leg in a football match, most of the time you don't get slow mo replay after slow mo replay of it do you?

It happens but I'd much rather see previews/build up to the next race.
