if a punter wants to bet in excess of £10,000 on any event, the police and banks need to be advised of the transaction in advance of acceptance.

I would say lies are being told.

Really?

I have taken bets in excess of 10k in shops before without these procedures. Can't remember if I have taken any since the GC came in though.
