thanks jimnast,that was what i suspected,certainly not complaining but i think it was a bit quieter everywhere yesterday than last year,interesting to see if the trend continues for the next 2 days.

the way the friday has become ribero,thursday will always seem quiet,west tip area looked ok yesterday,however i am told on saturday many go home after the national from that area.

Would be interesting to find out from catering outlets just exactly what they are paying to Aintree for the dubious honour of standing at the track. I'm inclined towards the view that this is the main reason behind the ludicrous prices.

£4.50 for a steak pie - and it was bobbins. have to say though all staff were pleasant, polite and cheerful. Parked on steeplechase car park and back on m57 within 5 mins so 10/10 for organisation.

costa coffee on course is 3.45 for what they call a large but is only a regular ,had 4 coffees yester to the tune of 13.80 ... not a bad profit margin is it
