Please leave Greville alone, it's bad enough that his effigy has been burnt at the stake on Epsom downs every Derby day since 1986. The guy was a top jockey who 'had a bad un' at the worst possible moment in his career (although there were plenty of mitigating circumstances IMHO) if he'd done the same in a handicap at Folkestone it would have been forgotten within a few days.

a one paced horse down in distance against presumably speedier types, brought from a mile back at Cheltenham to great effect for whatever reason, the way it was ridden today it could not win in 5 million years.

Then why not say that,personally think the horse is no good ,he rode it the way it`s always been ,think they `re struggling to find its trip and the ground had no bearing on it except that it was probably a bit fast for him.
