.00 - We open with Kayf Aramis (Paddy Brennan) who takes on Big Buck's. Kayf Aramis has gone up plenty in the handicap but still runs solid races and may well still be improving a little. Clearly it would be very hard to see him winning this but he always runs his race and he looks to be a good each way proposition on ground that should suit.

.10 - Imperial Commander is very well and looks to buck the trend of Gold Cup winners in this race. Much is being made of his record away from Cheltenham by the RP pundits today but how much different would it be had he been a nostril in front of Kauto Star at Haydock instead of (officially!) a nostril behind? He is now rated 23lb in front of his nearest rival in this, is in tremendous form at home and we wouldn't be running him if we didn't believe he can deliver the right result. Paddy rides again.

.45 - Baby Run goes in the Foxhunters and he too is in tremendous shape following his Cheltenham exploits. With Sam twiston-Davies still looking for that one win to officially qualify for a Grand National ride (although dispensation should be granted) Baby Run has an excellent chance of following up. His jumping should be seen to good effect over the National fences and having won over different trips from 2m 4f to 3m 2 1/2f in the last year, should not be inconvenienced by the drop in trip from the Cheltenham race.

.20 - Pigeon Island (Paddy Brennan) has gone up 8lbs for his Cheltenham win but again is in excellent condition and seems to get better (as in his hurdling days) the more races he has. The rise in weights would be a concern, but we also run Nikola (Sam Twiston-Davies) in this who was seventh in Pigeon's Cheltenham race. Despite needing the race Nikola was bang there with a chance until close home and with Sam taking off 7lbs should have a very good chance today. Both would have good each way chances but preference may just be for Nikola at these weights.

.30 - South O'The Border ran a little disappointingly at Cheltenham in the Pertemps, but drops back in trip four furlongs here which should help. Likely to run more prominently today, Sam rides and again, his allowance could prove very beneficial. May be worth a small each way interest at big odds.
