easier for Gosden to use his jockey of choice now. Dettori will jock him off on plenty of occasions. Imo.

I've been nice about him so far. Carry on and you'll get the ruth.
Report timeless March 23, 2010 9:15 AM GMT
is ruth a looker?
Report ybor city March 23, 2010 9:16 AM GMT
or the truth. I've no idea who Ruth is. Might be Bruno's middle name I suppose.
Report timeless March 23, 2010 9:16 AM GMT
will you do an ante post rip thread for yourself?
Report ybor city March 23, 2010 9:21 AM GMT
I don't understand that. I have 2 childen, one is 15 and the other 10. They love their father so I'm hoping to see them reach adulthood. Is that what you mean ?
Report timeless March 23, 2010 9:23 AM GMT
no,it was purely forum speak,i dont wish any harm on you
Report timeless March 23, 2010 9:25 AM GMT

I simply loathe the piety on here. I was the eldest of 3 schoolchilden when my mum died. She was in her middle forties and had stayed in London during WW11 working a hospital sister. Next week sees the funeral of a friend,Sgt Paul Fox who died in Helmand 3 weeks ago. He was 34 and has 3 kids. I save my sorrow for people other than cynical media folk who have lived to a "ripe old age ".Harry's wife aint reading this and I simply gave my view of his sincerity as a broadcaster. I think that kind of discussion is the purpose of this forum.
Perhaps now we can return to whether you think Gosden is also being a little conniving in appointing young Buick ?

Most of us have stories ybor.

Just let people RIP as they see fit imo.

i agree with agent r,

and as for young buick, good luck to him and gosden hardly owes anything to fortune imo.
Report Quito March 23, 2010 9:44 AM GMT
I agree with ybor city.

i dont think buick will mind so much quito,

seeing as he'll have a plethora of other good rides etc.
Report Quito March 23, 2010 9:48 AM GMT
I think I would mind if I was a stable jockey, tbh.
Report timeless March 23, 2010 9:49 AM GMT
granted if he was already a big name jockey well sought after etc,

what was he before this appointment?
Report Quito March 23, 2010 9:52 AM GMT
He was one of the brightest young talents in the weighing room for years, waiting for his big chance.
Report santa concerto March 23, 2010 10:46 AM GMT

Is that a fact, or an opinion, santa concerto?
Report santa concerto March 23, 2010 11:10 AM GMT
Definetely an opinion but 1 i vehemently adhere to.
Report heynoodles March 23, 2010 11:21 AM GMT
buicks favourite tactic is to go off too fast to get one beat (imho)
Report winston March 23, 2010 12:15 PM GMT
Don't get the Buick hype! Personally feel he's grossly overrated though he's young and will probably improve. Baffles me how he got such a high profile job though it's probably a reflection of how poor the standard is.
Report timeless March 23, 2010 12:21 PM GMT
he is certainly better than winston
Report Clerkmore March 23, 2010 2:34 PM GMT
But not better than Fortune.

Report justahorse1 March 23, 2010 2:58 PM GMT
going to be a top jock buick but a big step johnny g might of been wiser to have let him ride under fortune for this season and easy him in sure when dettori retires he will move across
Report cardifffc March 23, 2010 3:11 PM GMT
just...........make him 2nd jock to fortune would have made more sense
Report Great Whyte April 4, 2010 7:49 PM BST
When was the last time a top trainer got rid of a stable jockey like Fortune and sixx months later it was obvious why. Fortune has been finished for ages. Good horses masking his sad deterioration.
Report santa concerto April 4, 2010 7:52 PM BST
dont think buick will get jocked off anything.
