easier for Gosden to use his jockey of choice now. Dettori will jock him off on plenty of occasions. Imo.

I simply loathe the piety on here. I was the eldest of 3 schoolchilden when my mum died. She was in her middle forties and had stayed in London during WW11 working a hospital sister. Next week sees the funeral of a friend,Sgt Paul Fox who died in Helmand 3 weeks ago. He was 34 and has 3 kids. I save my sorrow for people other than cynical media folk who have lived to a "ripe old age ".Harry's wife aint reading this and I simply gave my view of his sincerity as a broadcaster. I think that kind of discussion is the purpose of this forum.
Perhaps now we can return to whether you think Gosden is also being a little conniving in appointing young Buick ?

i dont think buick will mind so much quito,

seeing as he'll have a plethora of other good rides etc.

I think I would mind if I was a stable jockey, tbh.

granted if he was already a big name jockey well sought after etc,

what was he before this appointment?

He was one of the brightest young talents in the weighing room for years, waiting for his big chance.

buicks favourite tactic is to go off too fast to get one beat (imho)

Don't get the Buick hype! Personally feel he's grossly overrated though he's young and will probably improve. Baffles me how he got such a high profile job though it's probably a reflection of how poor the standard is.

going to be a top jock buick but a big step johnny g might of been wiser to have let him ride under fortune for this season and easy him in sure when dettori retires he will move across

When was the last time a top trainer got rid of a stable jockey like Fortune and sixx months later it was obvious why. Fortune has been finished for ages. Good horses masking his sad deterioration.
