Chemical's waxing lyrical about Shishkin. If he's recovered from his predicament in the Champion Chase he'll walk all over Greaneteen like he did in the Desert Orchid Chase last x'mas. But, as it's trained by Chemical I still do not believe he'll turn-up for this gig despite the encouraging report by Chemical about his well-being.

Nicky des seem to be in a rich vein of form so hard to oppose. Shame that First Flow is out but I suppose it needs softer than is likely. No bet race to me now.

whilst shishkin beat geaneteen comfortably last season , that energumene race that he won bottomed him , whilst energumene went on , shishkin looked to have gone lto and they duly pulled stumps . I think they have hope rather than expectance . His profile , hendos form etc will get the support , but , the one thats come on is greaneteen . no reward for the stake so nowt doing for me . greaneteen at evs

In the Champion Chase last March Shishkin was affected by intermediate lameness on the day. Apparently that's been overcome judging from his sparkling work recently. If so, Shishkin will walk all over Greaneteen on saturday.

I just like this race to prove Shishkin is all good. If so Shishkin will recapture his Champion Chase crown come next March.

for me shishkin is the patsy that makes the market .  their are plenty of doubts in my mind , remember they way he travels funny ? before his flop , your only gonna pick up 1.3 points to your stake ! Whilst i expect shish to flop i dont expect greaneteene to , but , hes only 7-4 . Im going for a upset with venetia . best of luck

hendo says shishkin is working well and over the setback/injury he may well be but it could be that titanic  duel with energumene has left a mark ,on the gallops they dont have the gun put to their head so to speak, but he is likely to have a race on his hands on saturday   ,greanateen not far behind on ratings and this years arkle winner edwardstone and gentleman du mai who beat the former at aintree and looks to be going the right way only a 6 yo and room for plenty of improvement needs to find a bit more but thats not out of the question ,looked to beat edwardstone fair and square at aintree imo and rated 3  pound better than the king horse yet almost double the price of that one had a bit on ante post and will top up at 10/1 bog b365 win bets and will play the place markets on here .

i couldnt have a  w.mullins horse at 10-1 in a 6 horse race foyles , given their powder if it was on ,  the horse would be 2 to 4-1  max ,  its their as a measuring tool imo . no my value is the venetia horse .

yeah you may be right gzp i also like the venetia horse ,i have put up a tingle creek thread on the horse forum highlighting its chance ,obviously got a good few pounds to find with the front 2 but was only just over 3l behind shishkin in 2nd over hurdles at aintree a few years back ,on all known form it should be between the hendo and nicholls pair but we will seee.

Shishkin was a goner after a circuit. Now worries Hendo is indicating no more Champion Chase; Shishkin will be up in distance however, no supplementation for the King George.

That's about the most sensible thing Hendo has said for a long while. His insinuation and then procrastination with Altior spoke volume.

Shishkin jumped a few fences "high" - not quite ballooning - but spending too much time in the air. If re-routed to budget airline race Allaho will be long gone; if Gold Cup the new trip will test his stamina limit to the fullest esp the uphill finish.

Retirement plz Hendo. I think that'd be the best thing for Shishkin. I do not wish to see the illustrious career and achievements of Shishkin devalued over your whimp. Remember what you said Hendo: "I know Champ is a Gold Cup horse, and we've another ie Chantry House."

Edwardstone,through Greanetean,who loves Sandown,I would say that was a 177-180 performance.
