Chris’s Dream - enough weight might need rain Brahma Bull - enough weight but not a forlorn hope Eklat De Rire - well weighted and improving and obvious but has never run on ground like this….. Cloth Cap 18lbs more than last year Annamix - hard to rule out and the ground looks okay Ontheropes - obvious chance, by Presenting raises hopes going might not be against him but unproven on non boggy ground Fiddlerontheroof - major chances, going okay, well weighted. Very dangerous. Kitty’s Light - not out of it, may be others better weighted but he could be improving and has a decent chance Brave Eagle, hard to rule out a Henderson horse but he looks a dubious one to me Potterman - looks to have a solid rather than outstanding chance, it would be no shock and his odds compared to Enrilo look a bit generous Mr Malarky looks dodgy and a bit exposed Copperhead - running off 148 but capable of running 156 and okay on the ground. 2 years without form but but stable out of sorts last season. Chances at 20/1 and being backed too. Interesting. Enrilo - 2 out of 5 over fences. Maybe a bit wayward. Hard to sum up briefly. Won the Whitbread last year but rightly disqualified for veering in front of the rapidly finishing Kitty’s Light. Was on the upgrade at the time and still might be. Seemingly not keen when hitting the front. Might be a fair bit better than we have seen so far. But very closely matched with Kitty and Potterman and yet is less than half the odds, but obvious chance and a big danger to all.. Remastered - good but may need rain or rather deluge. Canelo - hard to enthuse The Hollow Ginge - keeps changing headgear, able enough but not my cup of tea. Demachine - ground fine and a distinct possible, almost certainly well handicapped and would NOT be a shock! Cloudy Glen - not for me sorry Venetia. Fortescue - probably not. Full Back - not hopeless but needs more One More Fleurie - good winner off 128 but now off 137. Hopeless last time but may have not liked the very soft ground or going right handed. Good jumper. Only an outside chance. Danny Whizzbang - 2 years ago ran 148 on g/s at Newbury. Now running off 135! But has not shown much form for a while in spite of wind opp. A bit of a shock if he won?
Fiddleronthehoof is my suggested best bet. He looks like he could run around 160 - 162 on some form and he’s off 150. But that is rather depending on the value you place on his fine reappearance and his second to Monkfish. I am fairly convinced though and suggest a small bet. I am pretty sure he’ll go quite close.
Quite like the very likely improver Kitty’s Light.
Copperhead is interesting and the 3 favourites have obvious chances but 2 are unproven on the ground, and Enrilo might just be a dodgepot, having wandered all over the place in front last twice - but he is able and well weighted!
With the Tizzard revival recently all of his 3 have to be considered but Fiddler seems the stable choice for Powell to ride. However, Mister Malarkey is the sort of horse that thrives on this sort of race and is below 150 for the first time in a while and is top rated on RPR and topspeed. Kittys Light and Potterman have upheld the Enrilo form and going left handed might improve Enrilo. All of those 3 have realistic chances. Having said all that, Irish trained horses might fill the first 4 places! £2 win Malarkey is my first toe in the water.

I wasted £2 on Nicky's Brave Eagle as I backed it during its last attempt at the race (when it was in better form ) , but 9lbs lower and a decent pull with Kitty's Light .

on second thoughts given the positive profile and a price that looks too big . i,m suspecting cloth cap is aimed at the grand national and a competitive run is all that is expected . ahhh i,m fickle kittys light thats the one for me

Had nine runners on the short list including the Irish pair at the front end of the market but ended up backing Fiddlerontheroof each way x5 places and then backed Cloth Cap,Brave Eagle,Potterman and The Hollow Ginge all in the seven place market.
