will be putting up some ante post value picks and hopefully if i can make a few quid along the way all the better , the nature of the beast and volitality of ante post punting will inevitably result in a good few losers and non runners but s,happens as they say ! i have put a good few up on the chelt and ante post forums already and will stick them on here as they will be easier to manage .starting with the cheltenham festival the supreme novices hurdle kicks the whole show off and we have a shortish priced fav from the mullins yard in appreciate it, good winner last time and a worthy fav ,i think he is worth taking on though and BALLYADAM looks to have a decent shout a good bumper winner and made a good start to hurdles winning his maiden and then stepping up to win the grade 1 royal bond before finishing a well beaten 16 length 4th behind appreciate it at leopardstown ,gordons were out of form and i think you can run a line through that he is surely better than that and 16/1 with 365 each way is worth a pop imo.
i like to have a few arrows in these races at decent prices and IRASCABLE also appeals at 25s billys a very good 2nd to app it in the leopardstown race he had ballyadam and some usefull types behind ,very lightly raced and with any amount of improvement to come ,obviously has a bit to find but at the prices the 25s will do for me .

champion hurdle ... SAINT ROI put this up earlier at 25s and still think the current 14s is fair ,a good 2nd to abacadabras btn a whisker then 4th to sharjah btn around 5 l he didnt jump with his usual fluency and the pace of the race and ground may have been against him the champion hurdle should suit better . selection champion hurdle SAINT ROI 14/1 365 1 POINT EACH WAY .
CHAMPION CHASE have already put up politilogue at 25s and notebook 16/1, each way and happy with those 2 at the prices .

stayers hurdle ..... SIRE DU BERLAIS 16/1 already advised won well on seasonal debut and behind flooring porter last time cheltenham more his course and with improvement a decent chance in stayers .
also backed FURY ROAD AND LISNAGAR OSCAR 20/1 AND 33/1 DILUTES IT A BIT BUT decent prices in a very open race .
marsh chase . ALLART 33/1 each way ADVISED won well on jumping debut ,then fell at doncaster last time may run this weekend and despite the fall still hopefull of making the line up ,hot fav hard to beat but anything can happen .
gold cup . SAMCRO 33/1 each way MELON 66/1 each way ROYAL PAGAILE 66/1 ap and 50/1 nrnb already advised samcro bet looks a duffer and he probably wont line up ,but melon could make the gig so bet still live .royal pigaile into 10s but probably needs bad ground ....
champion chase .. POLITILOGUE 25/1 EACH WAY, and notebook 20/1 each way already advised politilogue should have a decent pop and notebook should improve both hold decent each way chances imo.
onto the classics and the 1,000 gns is a race i like first place to start is ballydoyle and s SANTA BARBARA ADVISED AT 25/1 EACH WAY is into half those odds ,happy with my position as it stands . also ADVISED MOTHER EARTH 25/1 EACH WAY slybet .
the oaks . WILLOW 40/1 EACH WAY billys, a progressive well bred ballydoyle filly 3 runs in the book and stoutly bred the 12f could be right up her street . hard to know the pecking order of aidens 3 yos at this stage but hopefull she can progress into an oaks prospect .
the derby WORDSWORTH 50/1 EACH WAY less thyan a length behind his stablmate and derby fav high definition by galileo and open to any amount of improvement could develop into a derby candidate.

There are some gems there 'FOYLESWAR'. Hope they win for you. My Cheltenham portfolio is rather limited this year.

ryanaire .... BATTLEOVERDOYEN 33/1 EACH WAY ...........looks to have a mountain to climb based on his last runs cashed out for a 25% loss ,have the option of going back in nrnb but it is a tall order .
ballymore .... BLUE LORD 33/1 each way already advised btn by bob olinger last time but not a bad run for one so inexp and with improvement could get a fair bit closer no forlorn hope and possibly runs at the weekend drf .
just looked aqt the saint roi thread again and realised that i have put up NOT SO SLEEPY 50/1... 1/2 POINT EACH WAY a while back .
the flogas novice chase on sunday at leopardstown .monkfish odds on and spuds race winner has looked a natural and will be hard to beat but at odds on in a novice chase not for me , latest exhibition not a lot to find with monkfish and andy dufresne and some promising upncomers from top yards ,most of these will be giving the quirky asterion a wide berth with his pronounced jumping out to the left around 10/1 he is obviously talented but comes with risks , one i like each way at a stand out 16/1 with hills is janildil a stablemate of monkfish and asterion f, 5th behind monkfish in the spuds he was kept out the back for much of the race probably to get the trip and at 16 bills he rates an each way bet imo .

Latest Exhibition will be the one to capitalise if Monkfish is below par. I've nothing in the Ballymore; nothing in the Supreme; nothing in the Potato race. And, only Samcro (loyalty after his unexpected JLT triumph) in the Budget airline race.

on hurdle ratings asterion folange is rated 3 pound higher than monkfish and he could have a lot to do with the outcome of this race dont think he will win ,gonna lose ground at the fences but could interfere with anything near him if he jumps the fences and potentially cause havoc dont think i would be taking odds on monkfish ,nothing will want to be outside of asterion if he jumps and the trip may be a bit short of the favs best .
nube negra champion chase , very impressive last time and unexposed now rated 165 a strong traveller and good jumper ,had the kempton race won 3 out barring mishaps imo ,has chelt form was fav for the fred winter when btn 4l into 3rd, a 7yo lightly raced over fences and on the up 12/1 EACH WAY for the champion chase looks fair imo.
fanion destruvel 50/1 for the champion chase, he's only 6 and it might be too soon for him this season but always runs a decent race and will come on from the clarence house behind first flow and politologue
fiddler on the roof 40/1 for the old RSA. he was running decent during tizzards awful spell late last year. and he will stay going up in trip, monkfish will want to perform well over par but i will chance him for a e/w shot

Haha have Fanion for both at 200+ and 100+ but probably my darkest silliest bet is Heather Rocco for Bartlett or Ballymore , tailed off last time , palpably unsuited to going right handed , but jumped and travelled with great enthusiasm , 500+ in both .If a runner probably outclassed but at those prices only need buttons .
backed tax for max for the triumph each way at 50/1 before his debut last week btn 7l by teahoopoo but pulled like a train for most of the race and not a bad debut and if he can settle and lines up is interesting imo. no idea if he will turn up but french aseel is now a nonner and willie may want a few darts and 33/1 nrnb with 365 .
Just watched his race , hard to remember a head carriage like that and amazing run considering . Mullins has only had him since end of January so not sure whether Triumph may come a bit soon , flat form a bit classy though , very interesting thanks .
yes paulo if they can sort out the settling problems could be interesting and non runner no bet takes a lot of the stress out of it.
have been looking at the 2,000 gns in depth the last few weeks and i usually try to come up with a big priced runner but i kept coming back to aidens st marks basilica ,winner of the dewhurst and by siyuoni and a half brother to guineas winner magna grecia , lightly raced bred in the purple with the right connections and progressed nicely and should be plenty more to come, a mile should be ideal , battleground the fav in most lists likely to be aimed at the st james palace the 10/1 pp and sportsbook each way looks fair to me .
backed lord royale for the n. hunt novices chase a few days ago at 16/1 each way nrnb , form this season not great on paper but just feel he is a fair bit better than he has shown this term and this could cut up , the fav although likely to go here , could go gold cup and a few others could end up elsewhere ,the trip should suit lord royale and i cant see him being 16s on the day.
also went back in on irascable in the supreme ew nrnb at 40/1 , henry said likely to go here, got a bit to find with the fav but has got closer than most 2 runs back and a lightly raced possible improver 40s each way looks too big to me .
backed a couple of nonners for the gold cup ante post and have now come down on minnela indo at 12/1 each way nrnb bog b365 , decent festival form winning the spuds race and just beaten after going at it up front with allaho in the rsa last year should have improvement in him and a decent price imo.
galoping des champs was impressive hosing up in the martin pipe giving weight to langer dan , well ahead of his mark he quickened up the hillin good style shaping as though a step up would suit ,he should be novice chasing next season and having only raced 4 times has scope for loads of improvement 25/1 for the rsa i have had a small dabble each way.
