Arguably the most competitive and hardest handicap with 28 runners and usually plenty of carnage - just my kind of race.Laugh

The one that jumps out to me is Fitzhenry @ 14/1.

Was third last year when travelling like the winner most of the way and was an excellent second last time out in the 23 runner Troytown at Navan.

It is a superb race as you say , goes under the radar because of the KG , Welsh National and many others.....but how often do we see a field of so many 3 mile steeplechasers in the season.

I will be having a good look when the field is available.

Yes - it is effectively the Irish equivalent to what was the Hennessey Cognac Gold Cup ( now sponsored by a joke of a bookmaker whose name I will not type).
As usual though these hugely valuable Irish handicaps, and indeed Irish Graded races, never seem to attract any British entries.Confused

Tough race as ever, but I think the odds on offer for Vieux Morvan are generous, 22/1 seems a fair ew price. Will surely be primed to run his race again.

I probably need help, but in a race lime that I want a price.  The pin landed on General Principle, on the basis that  he is on a good mark now, and there are at least plausible reasons for the alphabetti spaghetti next to his name.
