Harry I seem to remember Never Can Tell winning from a high draw but generally I like a low to middle draw, so reasonably happy with my selections. I have always thought good horses win from anywhere e.g Withhold (drawn 24), an unexposed coup by Roger Charlton.

Over 2 miles 2 furlongs wide drawn horses have time to drop in and settle before making ground and challenging if good enough.

Having said all that my opening comment is my preference.

All my selections ran in the Royal Ascot 2 1/2 mile race in a fast time for the ground conditions so I`m hoping at least one of them will come good. Just hope there isn`t too much rain which may scupper my chances as per the Arc.

i prefer a lower draw as well but can't find much speed unless they cut the johnson horse loose, dubawi fifty might go forward from 13 but i'm not confident either will tbh. tricky

Have backed Coeur de lion ante post at 16/1 ew, and am tempted to have another go at 25/1. Thought the apprentice would take the mount but Foley is a very good jockey. Not sure why it’s drifting, got good form in the book over this type of distance.
