Off of the top of my head I have Fifth Position , Baltic Baron and Queen Of Time on my list .
We backed Baltic Baron at Goodwood and he has been on my mind for this race since then . He is a maiden but this race looks tailor made for him . |

Given the current weather and the likelihood of soft ground I have included in my short list Beringer. Now await the draw and final declarations.

Chilean was my other shortlisted horse . He could be chucked in but needs some cut .

I've not been through the form of the race yet but at 5 day confirmation stage, Frankie was jocked up on Star Of Bengal with Rab Havlin on Lord North carrying 8st 8lb.
Raising Sand has come out this morning so the weights have gone up 2lb - Star of Bengal not declared and Frankie now riding Lord North carrying 8st 10lb. Frankie's lowest riding weight over last 12 months is 8st 9lb. Despite the lack of form analysis the circumstances are sufficient for me to back Lord North at 14/1 this morning because I don't see that price lasting. |

Settled on Beringer each way and not the joint top weights who I hope don`t cause me to regret.

As you say Beringer "bumped" into one. Group races now for the winner I imagine. I rarely if ever do forecasts so the answer is no. Be interesting to see where the two Godolphin colts go as three year olds, hard to think they`d take each other on. Just hope they both stay sound at least until next spring.
Be lucky. |
