brief write up circus maximus derby fancy and only just behind gns winner magna grecia has the best form and is odds on obvious chance but at this course i wouldnt want to be taking short prices on anything . i am taking him on with stable companion mohawk who could relish the step up in trip donnacha up and around 8/1 or better on here could be the value ,also having a smaller bet on living legend a typical johnston improver needs to find a good bit but could well do .good luck if ya play . selection ......mohawk win 8/1 or better and living legend win 15/1 or better on here .
This could turn out to be the better of the two Derby Trials at Chester. Circus Maximus (CM) was 11/4 (Anthony Van Dyck was 7/4) prior to final decs. He'd be my most likely winner in receipt of 5lbs from his stablemate Mohawk (M); another AOB 1, 2 ie CM to beat M. But, in the context of the Derby maybe only a ripple effect, I think.

Thanks. Had the winner at 11/4 (laid at 2 here), but backed Anthony Van Dyck (7/4) originally who's running in the Lingfield Derby Trial on saturday. Also backed Japan (a non-runner) for the Chester Vase yesterday for a small stake; only a small profit for all that effort.
