Not had much luck starting ante post threads recently but Im off on holiday tomorrow so thought id start one before i go.
Lots of entries for this race but field limited to 20 and given the bottom weight was rated 99 last year and theres not much chance of soft ground Im guessing anything below Greenside (currently 30) isnt going to get in.
Cases can be made for plenty but all seem priced about right so Im going to take a flyer on Hors de Combat at 25-1, despite his uninspiring win to run ratio.
Fancied for both the Victoria and Hunt Cups he got no run in either but has shown in both his two subsequent starts that the ability is there, finishing off both races really well.
Top of the ground suits and granted a strong pace trouble free passage i think he can hit the frame at the very least. Hopefully I'll come home to a few extra quid in the betting account - god knows I need it!!
Yattwee is one to watch next time it runs and is entered here, they have pulled it out a couple of times recently at the final declarations stage so it may be worth waiting until Thursday. 25/1 now but probably worth waiting

I think Zabeel Prince is a Group horse in a Handicap. Took the 8/1 immediately after his last win. But another class act is Speculative Bid. His last run, was his first since 2015( where he ran up a string of good wins) Obviously had problems, but his comeback run was encouraging, as is recent form of trainer. If he runs( he has been withdrawn twice after being declared ), I think he will run well. 14/1 available now, but will wait until Thursday NRNB.

Zabeel Prince does look potentially a bit too good for these. I think Bravery could be value at 33/1, probably won't get in so you get your money back and sure to be a lot shorter on the day

Fav could be a Group horse and will enjoy the cut in the ground. Forecasts now suggest going will be soft on Saturday. Also like Speculative Bid's profile and willing to give Greenside one last go. Not sure he stayed in the Cambridgeshire and he hadn't run since Goodwood. Good luck all.
