Good luck Uncle.
I bet 3 when the entries were published, Belgian Bill (NR), Bravery 40's, and the bad news for you Dolphin Vista 50's |
|
By:
I like to have 3 in this, so I have added Breden at 100's ew 5 Places, and 125's win for a bit of fun. Needs a few to come out so probably (or hopefully
) just get my stakes back, in which case I'll add another at the 48hrs Stage. He won nicely enough the other day, and though this is a big ask, I didn't think that price reflected his chance. |
|
By:
Can't see it being soft enough for Dolphin Vista now, and market suggests it won't even be declared - if it is I will lay off.
Have now switched to Greenside @ 28 |

Yeah, looking ominous checking the weather. Been here before with him, and he was an AP loser for me last year.
|
|
By:
I've got Leader Writer 50's in a double with a 10/3 winner for a bottle of pom pom or two.

there is rain around Wednesday night into thursday and possible some friday, so every chance it could ride on the easy side, giving GM HOPKINS another chance, still think he's capable, although for once it would be nice if he actually broke from the stalls on terms, 25-1 im willing to take the chance. good luck

Not had a play in the race yet, will wait for ground, draw, jock bookings.
Would be interested in Very Talented again this yr, ran well last yr as a 3yo. Would want the ground gd or better imo. |
|
By:
Quite like the look of Linguistic given Johnny G's record in the race. Lightly raced as a 4-y-o, won over the course last season, potential improver…
|
|
By:
Plenty of rain here last night and hopefully a few more showers or longer spells befroe off time so I will stick with my Dolphin Vista bet.
JR - I also thought Linguistic was interesting when I looked through the race on Tuesday. Might take the 8 places on offer with Skybet and have a few e/w savers, including him. |

I reckon i'm in with a squeak doesn't Leader go with some juice in the ground? Could be pom pom.

Tell you what, sign of the times now this forum. yesteryear with an antepost race like the cambridgeshire there would have been anywhere around a 100 posts or more, comments, tips, reasons etc etc, **** pitiful now.

Linquistic to start a good weekend for JG

anybody got any opinions on where is best to be drawn?
|
|
By:
based on the going stick readings and the way they all ultimately came across to the stands side in the Silver Cambridgeshire today even though the stalls were far side, I would say high draw is preferable but not with much confidence.
Typically I only fancy one of the horses drawn high - Qassem - although I understand why Brorocco is so popular I the market. |
|
By:
my first 2 bets were Naval Warfare and Cote d'Azur (both drawn low), I've since added Linguistic, Qassem and Central Square. The last 2 drawn high so hopefully got things nicely covered
I can't believe Cote d'Azur is so big on here, has bits and pieces of good form (including CD form last year) that would give it a chance |
|
By:
I also like Greenside in this. Decent course form, don't think he minds some cut, don't think he acted at Goodwood lto & got no sort of run. He's drawn high and I do think high draw may be favoured tomorrow but you never know for sure. Linguistic drawn low so happy to have one on each side. Good luck all :)

As said on the 'Autumn Double' thread got 33/1 Brorocco. Cavalry charge where anything could win but still wouldn't swop
|

Backend handicap, undulating course that will not suit all, question marks over the ground and a potential draw bias, tough as they come.
Spent far too much time on this, times from yesterday suggest plenty give in the ground, and any clues from the consolation were scuppered as they did not really split. The pin has landed on Sinfonietta and Bravery, both EW. Both have form in big field handicaps,on easy ground, and their current marks workable. High draw does look preferable, but not a given. Intriguing contest, some decent shouts already, lets hope somebody on here has worked it out. GL ALL. |

very well played uncle :) I was at HQ on Sat looking at bookies boards with a 20 note burning a hole in my pocket. 'Let's back a big outsider,' I thought, 'Hmm, Dolphin Vista, that's the one tipped up by that guy on the BF forum… big price, nice high draw… nah, ground's drying out now, won't be soft enough for him, I'll back Examiner instead'
Well done again uncle. |
