A decision on Cracksman whether to run here or not will be made tomorrow, according to Gosden after giving the all clear for Shutter Speed in the Musidora today.

Think Gosden is right ...main aim is DERBY why risk the horse in these conditions... I am hoping horses that get beaten not very far in Dante turn up for the Derby.. . As don't think the form would amount too much in these conditions if winner given a hard race...

Even Stoutes horse gone out to 6/1 with fav taken out says it all really....

I think Rekindling is the one with the best form.

Naughty ITV racing made it sound like Sir Mike had definitely ruled Crystal Ocean out ... this is what the Racing 'Spinning Disc' Post analysis quotes him as saying ...

"Crystal Ocean is a promising horse. A mile and a half will suit him better. He has got a lot of scope, he has got his future ahead of him. The Derby would not be my plan - but he has an owner!" Sir Michael Stoute, trainer.

As long as the horse is well tomorrow morning then there could well be a change of tune ...

Yeah I would give the horse another chance tbf... I thought he run well... Workforce got beat in the Dante and Won Derby...

And in those conditions think he ran very promising....

They all had had a hard race, and I do not believe any will trouble the judge come Derby Day.

The issue seems to be that no trainer wanted to submit a real Derby contender to the tough Dante 'test' with only 2 weeks to go to the Derby.
(down to a late Easter or summat). Shirley there must be away of sorting the Dante to Derby gap without relying on the religious calender ...
