Tough race, more hopeful than confident but think he is worth a chance as was second in the race last year - albeit of a lower mark, but generally runs well at Ascot been at Meydan recently so will have the race fitness on his side. He has been knocking on the door in big handicaps and think he has a big race in him. Claimer on board will take a few pounds off.
Word for DONNCHA will bet on him at 14's - bit tough to catch right... had few good runs now - horse makes it hard for himself to win as he has to come from behind - will hopefully find more opportunity to do that in this 30 runner race as they tend not to huddle in a group - so don't expect hard luck story. So hopefully if drawn on the right side... can give him a major shout in this.
FASTNET TEMPEST would be an obvious starting point for this race . Had the Newbury Spring Cup in the bag before hanging badly inside the final furlong . The drop back to 7fur shouldn't be an issue .

Annoying couple of fancied horses out ... and AFJAAN did have Mick booked... YUFTEN well yeah Lincoln backers get fingers burnt again. Not sure why MUTAWATHEA not declared has run mascot numerous times.
Anyway DONNCHA main bet now ... strange he is bigger odds now than at antepost.
Not sure how much rain there is but couldn't resist few quid on old timer HEAVENS GUEST 33/1... he use to love underfoot conditions and Ascot... I like his mark...think he has a chance..

I have approached this with the belief that you need a high draw. Two very well in horses with a high draw are THE WARRIOR and PROFESSOR and if anybody goes 6 places I will do them both each way. I will also have a saver on FASTNET TEMPEST as 7 furlongs on quick ground looks right up his street. If the low numbers are favoured I will be on a loser but that's life.

4th behind Intisaab at Ripon over furlong shorter where he appeared to be 'not knocked about'. Winner ran well 5th behind Mr.Lupton at Newmkt Sunday. ATR was impressive winner on his final run last season at Chester, 9lb higher here. Also good run behind Certificate at Goodwood last August where he was unlucky loser.

Eh antepost ... you can't win every week... but can have a good return ... the value is to get the price next is hope it wins... race wasn't very kind to me but in a 30 runner affair Didn't expect hotpot to win ... so well done winners...
And well done to Paul Keally who tipped on weekender this Wednesday...

Didn't play in this but if this the way big field races are going to be run at Ascot with a track bias meaning the whole field coming to the stands side it's going to be a pretty crap Royal meeting.
