Small bet at the moment on GALAPIAT ( 14/1 bfsportsbook). Exhubriantly front running type, ( suited to long distance races at this tight track). Won Great Met at Epsom , so 2 weeks to Chesrer. Has another entry for Stakes race at Newmarket - so might be a NR. Worth the punt, as he wont be 14/1 if he turns up.
I suppose if Galapiat is guaranteed to stay the trip and considered good enough to run in a Group1, he may never get a better chance of picking up a big handicap on the way to group stardom? If he turns up at Chester and gets a low draw what price will he be? 3/1?

Galapiat entered in 3 races Group1 and Group2 over 1m 4f and here over 2m 2f. 8lb well in here. So what chance does he have of staying this trip on breeding? Anyone have any idea? It's the big question.

Just the 63 beasts to ponder at this stage.Down at 29 Angel Gabriel looks interesting, eyecatching run last years renewal, off 104,on groundsofter than ideal.Ran well in prep at musselburgh, lugging left up the straight, easy to see him in a much better
Another Sea of Heaven fan here. 10/1 looks very fair to me. No reason to believe he can't improve again this season.
Hard to see what's not to like. Course form is always a big plus obviously, and even though that was on soft he looks like he will be even better on fast ground, which looking at the long range forecast, looks more than likely. A solid boost for the Cesaweritch form at Ascot today as well.
Have also had a saver on Nakeeta at 14/1

Sea Of Heaven, just the one for me. Looking as far back as 1989 Mark Prescott hasn't had a runner in this, unless I missed one, find that incredible. What does that tell us? Fancies his chances?

I took 10s Sea of Heaven - surprised he is the same price now - bit of a yoyo in the top end of the market.
Still cant see past Nakeeta - Spencer on board may look like a concern - but having said that don't think there is a jockey that rides this race better than Spencer... he is hold up horse... and maybe Spencer will leave it late... but think whatever the outcome the best jockey is on board .. for this race... so wont complain after the race ;)
Had a saver on Angel Gabriel - 25/1 is a massive price.. Hanagan on board slight negative.. doesn't seem to be the jockey he once was... but did also have a good record in the race...

Not sure what happened to Blakeney Point noticed he was out of the gates a bit slow - jockey pushing to get to the front by the rail, so guess tactics played a factor as was on the back foot a bit, as for others clearly need to be drawn low... thought Angel Gabriel did well as he was drawn widest and managed to get in a really good position a furlong in - but that took it out of him in the end part of the race. Had he been drawn better would have been much closer. Don't think his handicap mark will change but worth following ... I see a future thread on him ;)
Interesting market though - betting / gambles on the top end... sometimes you just cant follow the money....
