They have to fill the Spring Mile too. Most have no expectation of getting in the Lincoln.

This sort of thing does seem to happen far too often. Disappointed Sacred Act & Ballet Concerto didn't get in. Assuming both balloted out so refunded on those.
Yeah both balloted out. Ballet Concerto top weight for the Spring Mile (Chelsea Lad not declared).

Have you seen my OP? Ante-post betting is a waste of time my ar*e.
A stopped clock and all that.
FWIW I'm on him too, my second ante-post bet of 2017. I wouldn't be having him in the current market though.
Regarding Chelsea Lad and the consolation race it happens every year. Less money, more weight to carry and it's a less prestigious race. Fahey was on earlier saying the consolation race is almost the tougher race of the two.

It's not the first race that team have won 'before the race'. Danny mentioned in his interview that they were talking about it beforehand and he was told get to the far side if you can. They always seem to be on the ball regarding draws etc.. Too many trainers don't put enough work into these type of things.
Same team winning the November Handicap here a couple of years ago...
