My first losing festival in 5 years. Probably going to post a loss this season too. I blame the birth of my son. Barely time to study but still betting. Basically, guessing. Silly me. Will post update in the week.

I had my biggest losing festival 2 years ago, not the best feeling. I think having a young child will take up a fair chunk of study time. Win or lose, I think we all deserve a break until Aintree. |

Should have taken my own advice,plenty of the Irish horses were well handicapped. Some good winners posted.....well played to those who made a profit. Pleasing end to a long week,and needed,plenty to sift through before Aintree. Just been going through National entries,gone down to number 60,anyone reckon lower than that will get in? |

I don't think so Noc, 60 looks too big an ask.
Last year was exceptional with The Romford Pele getting in having been 59 on the original list, but the rule of thumb I usually use is 72-77 on the list, and that would have taken you from Bless The Wings to Potters Cross, who are now 49 to 52 on the mark. I think another 7 or 8 will come out at least, but not down to number 60. |
