...I just cannot wait for the National Hunt season to be over. As such let's look ahead to the Flat eg Guineas, Dante, Chester Vase, Derby, Oaks, The St Leger for a bit of value - apart from the former - and excitement. Hence, all contributions will be appreciated.

Strange thread imo.

Have to say I haven't had any interest in the Punchestown festival this year - had a quick look at the bumper results for future reference but that was all.

Punchestown is a circus because it is held at the backend of an arduous National Hunt season after Cheltenham, and mostly not punter friendly. By the way there are several horses that ran on thursday and today running again tomorrow eg Jer's Girl, Quantitativeeasing, Cantlow, Be Poistive, etc - it could only happen in Ireland.

After-thought for many and the greedy! And a lot of crap low quality and lots of bumpers one to avoid if any sense imo.

The Punchestown circus continues: Quantitativeeasing won on thursday, went off 2/5 today and finished 2nd - how can that be allowed? And over 3m again! That is mickey taking to the extreme. A very shameful behaviour from connections I think.

How can a 2/5 fav be allowed to finish 2nd? Happens every day.. Talking gibberish man!

The horse should never have been allowed to run again two days after winning another 3m race, no wonder it did not win despite starting at a price of 2/5.

Presume you are a rich man after hammering that pink button then?

Bolger said after Quantitiveasing's win that the horse came out of it as though it hadn't even had a race and was planning on running again 3 days later due to the fact there wouldn't be another relevant race for him until October.

I don't see the problem. Palmer had a similar one turned over the other night at Chelmsford having won 3 days previous - We Are Ninety.

I think it's a good festival , with good horses. We don't have to bet. Some big runs there this year, from good horses.

Agreed. After watching Yorkhill and Vautour being turned over on day 1 it was a watching brief from me apart from Invitation Only.

Punchestown is all right; though perhaps to British eyes, seven bumpers seems like overkill.
