Does Sire De Grugy wear his surgical boots tomorrow?

SDG has a good record carrying top weight and giving loads of weight away, i think he can carry weight well but its shame the trainer said he isnt fit.

Yes I meant more that he was giving it away on his first start IS. You couldn't imagine they will have him anywhere near 100% for this could you?

Agree with the OP. This is probably between Vibrato Valtat and God's Own. I think I may wait until after the first race to see how the ground seems.

I agree AC, going to do the same myself. VV seems to clear to prefer it softer and Gods Own seems to much prefer the better ground. Will back whichever one seems to be getting is ground, although I'm now moving towards VV as I do think it's going to be pretty soft.

What about Dunraven Storm? Has the fitness edge and beat VV (in receipt of 4lb) at Cheltenham last year, and was 2 lengths behind at Sandown off levels. Gets 9lb today so could be the value at 7/1.

I don't think VV handles Cheltenham myself titleist. But agree the fact he has had a couple of runs give him a squeak. I just think VV is a better animal if fit and day to go.

Ground looks to have come perfectly for VV now... Very hard to fancy Gods own on this.
Taking a bit of 12/1 about him for the Tingle Creek as well. |

Cheers lads. Thought he was quite impressive today (bar the last!). Under his optimum conditions of 2m on soft ground, he could be a tough nut to crack this winter. Credit to PN too, he's done really well with the horse.
