The usual 'will he won't he' scenario with Gleneagles - the forecast is for good-to-soft, so given how heavy the dew is at this time of year I can't see him turning up myself.
Esoterique and Territories look like missing it as well so it's either take the odds against on Solow now or look for an each way bet.
Kodi Bear may be a bet to nothing at 7/1 but I like Elm Park, @ 20/1 (though he has the Champion Stakes option as well) - I am fairly confident he will run in the QEII, especially if Gleneagles is a n/r.
Esoterique and Territories both entered - was there any mention at the press conference if they were definite runners?
There seems to be more money for Elm Park in the Champion Stakes rather than the QEII, so all in all, unless you just want to back Solow, it's a mess of a race to have a bet in at the minute.

Think they said this morn that the ground was g/s on the str course @ Ascot. With that part drying quicker than the rest of the track & we get no more rain before Sat, it will surely have dried out plenty for Gleneagles, think its a mainly dry forecast this week. Hopefully its at least gd ground come Sat, we shall see.

Fabre originally said Territories would miss Ascot and go to the Breeders Cup but he now must be waiting to see how the ground dries. Also said Esoterique is a possible runner.

I cant have Gleneagles at all - those who backed him at this stage must have their head tested as too bigger risk and are probably just giving free money to the bookies. If he turns up he will get beat, just because of the preparation think he is a big No No... don't care if its the best horse OBrien has trained as far as Im concerned he is the worst prepared... expect him to be seen in the Breeders... think that is his main target.
The French horse merits respect as Head has proved on so many occasions how well he prepares a horse for a race, but I like KODI BEAR 8/1 - He has bags of potential and deserves his place in the field... both Breton Rock and Cable Bay have franked the form with wins, which makes his last run a lot more credible. He has won at Ascot and was second in the Dewhurst last year... which shows how much progression he has made...

I am really tempted by Kodi Bear but for the fact that i could take a price now and he could be bigger on the day. It seems to me that the ground must dry out a little between now and Saturday if the weather stays like this. No rain forecast and looks to be maximum temperature of 12 degrees. I don't know how much that will dry the ground out with winds of 12mph. Surely its going to be closer to good ground on the day.

Territories has now been backed in from 20/1 to under 10/1 so presumably he is the Fabre runner. Could easily be just 5 or 6 runners so backing him (or Kodi Bear) e/w now with 3 places on offer might be the wise move.

bit of after timing but... Looked at some prices on Gabriel this morning was 100/1 but talked myself out of it... but form never lies notably when 50/1 few runs back second to Sollow, 2nd celebration mile and now 3rd today...
Horse is credit to his connections.
