Think Duke Of Firenze could take this again. If he runs !

He is down to run on Saturday in the big sprint at York. But when trained by Stoute, this is the same route taken, and 7 days later the horse won the Dash. Can history repeat itself ? Hope so !

Id look towards the top 4 last year - only a head or two in it

1st  12 Caspian Prince   9/1
2nd  10 Seeking Magic  hd  7/1
3rd  5 Addictive Dream  nk  25/1
4th  1 Steps  hd  6/1f

I like Seeking Magic

Morning Iris, I backed Steps last year and there`s no doubting he was unlucky, but that`s the nature of this particular sprint, you need the luck of the draw and speed to get a good position early doors. I looked at him again this year but I am drawn to Monumental Man, he had a nice opener behind a solid yardstick this year Red Baron at Wolves, who ran well yesterday, he then won over course and distance showing good speed and staying on really well to win convincingly in a good time.
Given a good draw, hopefully! and good to firm ground I think he has a good chance at an E.W. price. G.L which ever way you play.

Duke of Firenze didn't exactly set the world alight yesterday. Finished last , although they all finished on top of each other, and he was heavily eased in the last half furlong. Don't know whether connections are still going for the Dash ?

Backed Red Baron and he only just failed. The winner, Monsieur Joe is in the Epsom race too.

BR - I like Monumental Man too. 2/2 at Epsom over 5f on g/f ground. Very speedy. Could  go pillar to post ?

A cracking race in prospect.

had a little ew on DESERT LAW at 16-1.

formerly with andrew balding and said bin suroor, now in the capable hands of paul midgley.
after 2 "sighters" at york and pontefract, desert law ran a cracker returning to the knavesmire when 3rd just beaten by out do and red baron with monsour joe and willbeme back in fourth and fifth, thats very strong sprint h'cap form.

4 days later went of a very well backed 7-4 fav at redcar, but disappointed running very flat(came to quick?).

the selection finished 2nd in the "dash" back in 2012,just beaten by stone of folca of 97 now races of 89(high of 105)so as experience of the track and ive a feeling connections have targeted this race.

good-fast ground and a decent draw hopefully could sneak in to at least a place.

best of luck if you have a dabble.

3 Big priced runners, Smoothtalkingrascal , Normal Equilibrium , Free zone all seriously well in and in the right age group for this contest . First five each way , will be disappointed if they don't at very least place! With Smoothtalkingrascal the main bet as he had top weight in this last year for D O Meara. And was a close second in this in 2013 ,thounge tie for the first time tomorrow and is 2 stone better off with last years winner on ratings and Hayley is due a big Saturday winner. Good luck.

For a small stake e/w flutter Burning Thread may suit. The form to look at is his run behind Kingsgate Native at Beverley last season. Beaten two lengths in receipt of a pound, if he reproduces that he will be in the frame. A different track, a different day and a different trainer I believe, but 40/1 is too tempting.

Well done winners - didn't think you would be collecting after that draw came out... win came as a surprise as I thought high numbers would have it.
