Only 2 firms have gone up with odds at the moment, with Ervedya the 6/4 favourite. Although Found was beaten in a group 3 on her next run, I still believe the Marcel Boussac was a strong race form wise, Malabar finished 4th in the Guineas at Newmarket, whilst some others have yet to run like Jack Naylor and they looked of a fair standard last season. Ervedya's trainer is adamant she would have beaten Found last time out if it were not for a wide draw, but that's speculation. She won her trial very well for this and should take a lot of beating with no trouble in-running.

Mexican Gold has had two runs and two wins for Fabre/Abdullah. She was impressive in her own way last time out, coming from behind to win at the line and it was her seasonal debut too. Open to plenty of improvement but it's a big jump she has to make.

Anyone have fancies at big prices? 9/1 bar the first two..

I think this is a race to avoid as I would not take 6/4 about  Ervedya. However, I will be having some of the 33/1 about Flaming Spear in the Poulains if he runs on Sunday.

Stall 12 for Ervedya, but at least it is not a maximum field.

Ervedya could of fared better. She is quite a late foal you know and will probably improve all season. 15/8 is looking much better.I liked the look of Mexican Gold's win last time out but two behind her have been beaten since.Ervedya has the beating of the rest.

Very hard to oppose Ervedya , Mexican Gold the obvious danger on belated late effort but does need to find 5 lb +(possible), I will stick with the fav.

In the  Poulains,Karar must be of place interest, went way too soon latest , they could try different tactics?, at a much bigger price I do like Mr Owen and probably racing for third place but could well make that position his at least.(massive price alert) Obviously Highland Reel is the one too beat.

Highland Reel sets a fairly low standard as fav in the French 2000. He's a very short price with lots of unknown quantities, potential improvers in the field and the possibility of a French crawl with luck in running playing a big part. Has to be a lay on value grounds for me.

Totally agree, Figgis. Win, lose or draw.
