I interviewed him a few months ago. Fascinating hearing about his childhood in the middle east.

We had a bit of a disagreement about national hunt racing (he called it boring and for slow horses!) but on the whole he's a very good person to listen to. Speaks his mind and not afraid of upsetting anyone.

Put fortunes into Salford and his horses. Living the dream.

I love listening to him; as true and genuine as they come and a proper person. I backed Never Can Tell in the Cesarewitch ante-post at huge odds after he tweeted his joy at getting Frankie to ride her .One of the best rides by Frankie I have ever seen. One of my saddest days when I saw her lose her life in the Doncaster Cup. She would of been a great broodmare for him as a Darshaan staying mare with a decent black type female line.
