Easter Day 10/1 and Mon Parrain 16/1 interest me at this stage... Does anyone know whether they are intended entries as I want to put a bet before declarations as I think field will cut up for the race after midday decs tomorrow.
First time back in Handicap for 9 runs (7 Grade 1 runs in there) and 3lb lower than that run where second to Quantitiveasing at Cheltenham in the December Gold Cup. Three runs this season are all perfectly reasonable to suggest there is still plenty of ability there and this a significant drop in class. There are no Silvianaco Conti's or Sam Winners in this field.
I don't know if it's a confirmed runner and probably best wait for declarationss, but 16/1 looks reasonable at the moment.
Medermit could be worth a look here? First time back in Handicap for 9 runs (7 Grade 1 runs in there) and 3lb lower than that run where second to Quantitiveasing at Cheltenham in the December Gold Cup. Three runs this season are all perfectly reasona
Also on Easter Day at 10's, but I might not be finished with the race yet. Slight concern at this stage is that Easter Day is Nicholl's only entry in the Cheltenham handicap on Saturday, a race in which Paul has always had at least one runner. But with the weather the way it is it may be just a backup plan (hopefully).

I have had a quick look at the declarations for this race and a few horses standout to me. Easter Day is the obvious one, least exposed and perhaps the most potential but the price seems a tad skinny. At a bigger price Night in Milan could be interesting given his course record, however his plans for the season seem to lie in the grand national, but hes interesting nontheless. My most interesting entry comes in the form of Indian Castle, seemingly held in high regard (short price for kim muir last year) and has been well backed on each of his course visits this season. Im sure he has a big race in him at some point and that day could be saturday! Thoughts please?

Indian castle is interesting, one for the radar, handicapped on his form for mcCain, not for williams, and the f/c good ground does not look ideal. With boy wonder here,Cowards close is out of the h,cap at present,if the top one runs I would hope to see j sherwood aboard or similar.Easter day could be well h,capped, but not over 3 miles on form shown, will wait for fri decs.

A bit annoyed to see Easter Day in both Donc and Chelt - I suppose its precautionary if it is because of the weather but not great for those who will back in Chel 2:25 as there will be a big deduction...
Obv prefer Easter Day to run at Doncaster... off course... and think he has outstanding chance - hate he is a paper favourite though - didnt expect it to contract that much...
Suprised not to see India Castle declared ... but actually its a much harder race than it appears as Medermit keeping the weight down on the others.. 4 or 5 interest me at bigger prices thogugh -
Renard Night In Milan Grandads Horse Lost Legend Vino Griego

appaling really I read in RP earlier in the week where Nicholls stated that this race was the main target for the horse... they even took the second string out ?
Back to the drawing board with this race...
how frustrating...!

but glad they took it out now though... would if they did in the morning... with deductions - hopefully bookie prices will be without the fav... so no deductions

It's not the type of thing you usually get with Nicholls to be fair. If the owner insists then what can he do?
It's the type of thing doesn't happen very often at all. If it did there would be a rule change to discourage it.

I quite like Vino Griego for this - got a few too many Ps but back on the mark where he just got touched off at Aintree in the Spring, and watching his run at Ascot lto, he actually went OK for quite a long way on ground that would n't have suited. His previous P was in the Hennessy - he would n't be the first horse (this week!) to bounce back after a poor run in that race. Tomorrow looks a much better opportunity for him but I'm slightly perplexed/put off by the fact that Jamie Moore is riding Godsmejudge for Alan King leaving Joshua to partner Vino Griegio.
Is anybody able to shed any light on the jockey bookings?

lost legend for me too now that JOnjo's are running better. quite like night in milan too but already rated 146 - i believe the Grand National is the aim so wonder if they'll really be wanting another rise....

Winner won well... Considering horse has jumping issues - was 12s early in the week... Finished 4/1 we'll done if you were on... A horse to follow for sure...
Quite a few well fancied horses ran badly ... And some didn't even turn up !
