Can anyone tell me what Pricewise put up for the Welsh National and at what odds - from amounts matched I presume one ip was Shotgun Willy - please advise. Cheers

Had to double check that ribotman but no it appears he didn't.

He won a decent race at a big price with Ruby up. First time out that season and meant to be in need of the race.

Benbane Head paid a big compliment to Gas Line Boy who beat him at Exeter over an inadequate trip for both of them probably.

Shotgun Willy won the race at haydock which is now the National Trial. I know cos I stood on the rail near the paddock with Paul Nicholls, vainly trying to engage him in small talk about the ground etc. when all he wanted was to be left alone. When flecking bonkers when the horse won and that was clearly the day. Went off fav in the National and pulled up. Had stringhalt if memory serves? Not sure it won another race.

Shotgun Willy did have stringhalt, i remember him walking around the paddock before the Feltham (where he disappointed badly - he couldn't go right-handed at all). He did upset First Gold in what I thought was the Pillar, but looking at the RP website, appears that it was the AON chase (perhaps the first running of that race?)
