Can anyone shed any light into why this market has been suspended? It does not say in the rules it will be apart from that there is a supplementary stage today. Suspension however isn't supposed to be till Fri 10am

Thought when i first saw the quotes of 4/9 they were talking about another race, would have made Faugheen more like 1/3 or shorter. Think that Punshestown performance was fairly impressive and he could absolutely hack up here.

Personally I would have it 1/4 (1.25 area) not 1.45 or even 1.34 as it is now! Speculation it won't come over perhaps? I would not have thought melodic would be running as I think he be waiting for haddock or maybe even Newcastle? Lac could be his only realistic challenger apart from the hurdles lol

Mullins' stable jockey Ruby Walsh confirmed he will be at Ascot on Saturday.
"We have Vautour, Faugheen, a couple of good ones at Gowran Park as well on Saturday. Obviously, I'll be at Ascot," he told At The Races: "

I'm not saying he'll beat Faugheen but Blue Fashion's form with More Of That at Haydock exactly a year ago makes interesting reading (beaten 2 lengths giving the slightly more experienced, older MOT 6lbs).
Blue Fashion has been off a year and Geraghty goes to Haydock but for me Faugheen has at least the hurdles and Blue Fashion to beat.
Lac Fontana is a Grade 1 winner and no slouch either.
Don't get me wrong, Faugheen should win comfortably but these supposed foregone conclusions are often more competitive than they appear at first glance.
Faugheen rated 161 and Blue Fashion 152 and receiving 4 lbs so should theoretically be able to get around about as close as Ballyalton did at least!!
