The last thread I started began promisingly but ended up on a tangent away from the race itself.
Some recent updates too to boot.
Namely Telescope runs, ground permitting (can't see for the life of me how he wins this, looks a true 1m4f horse to me).
The Abdullah pair (Remote and Noble Mission) look doubtful according to Teddy. I think from the betting Remote is all but out and Noble Mission may run if it came up on the softer side.
Trading Leather not entered in the Arlington Million after all (slight injury) but may still turn up.
Kingston Hill will only turn up if testing and the likely option is the Great Voltigeur (1m4f)
So probable line up:
Australia (if not soft) Telescope (if not soft) Mukhadram The Grey Gatsby Arod (worryingly weak)
Confirmation stage on Thurs (14th) so may know more then.
If the ground is good the best bet might be Mukh to beat Tele in a match bet, but I wonder if Mukh is possibly better right handed given all his best efforts have been at Sandown and Ascot.

Took a little bit of the Mukhadram price myself (9.4) which was way to big imo. If (?) the long range weather forecast is right, the ground could well be on the easy side of gd to start the meeting. Very unsettled weather in the York area over the next 10days, after a look at it yesterday Hopefully its no slower than gd come Weds next wk.

AUSTRALIA will have a new jockey should he run in the Juddmonte International at York next Wednesday, but trainer Aidan O'Brien has warned the colt's participation is far from certain.
O'Brien's son Joseph has ridden the three-year-old in all six starts but he is unable to make the 8st 12lb Australia would carry against older horses in next week's Group 1.
RELATED LINKS Card and betting The Coolmore-owned star heads the betting for the International and was on Wednesday cut to 8-13 (from 4-6) by William Hill, but he also has options in next month's Qipco Irish Champion Stakes and the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. O'Brien, who has won York's richest race three times in the last six years, said: "We won't be making a decision about Australia running for another few days. He's being trained with the race in mind, but it's still in the balance if he will travel.
"If he does run Joseph won't be riding him as 8st 12lb is below his minimum. We'll wait until we decide about running before confirming a jockey."
Top of O'Brien's list of replacements would have been Ryan Moore, but he is set to partner 9-2 second favourite Telescope for his boss Sir Michael Stoute, while Jamie Spencer - one of only six jockeys to have ridden a winner in Britain for O'Brien in the last five seasons - will be on the Qatar Racing-owned Arod.
Ballydoyle stalwarts Seamie Heffernan and Colm O'Donoghue are other alternatives.

Agree Uncle. Heffernan perfectly capable. No wonder he seems such a miserable s0d in his interviews though when he doesn't get these opportunities having been there donkeys years.

Order of at George...lovely big horse...galloped out nicely
Arlington
Horses seem fine...ground good and quick...hoping for a good run with magician. Quick ground is what he wants....hasn't got it this year and I knew wasn't going to win after 1 furlong in the King George. He hates that ground....fast firm ground is what he wants.
Australia
He's in good form...he'll come on from his first run...as long as the ground is good and quit.
Listen....I might ride him yet....listen well see what happens...I'd love to ride him
Verrazano
Was a massive big powerhouse and disappointing not to have him anymore.

On the key multiple entries for Wednesday, I think EAGLE TOP will run in the International and KINGSTON HILL in the Voltigeur (en-route to St Leger). One look at the prize money differential and Big Johnny G's lead in the trainers title, would lead me to surmise ET turns up in the race worth nearly £500K to the winner. He has been farming the Group 1's lately, and being braver with his entries this year.
I like a certain runner, and AROD has been primed for this since the Derby (non-settler at the trip) so took the 20/1 yesterday, hoping the final decs would cut up.

Just the 6 in the line-up (thus far). Ground now gd & drying all the time. Looking at the met office report, its a mostly dry wk, chance of showers Fri (approx 2mm) Ground will suit most in the Juddmonte Looking forward to it & a great wks racing at York. Will young Joe make it down to 8-12 ?? "fat boy"

Looks set fair for a cracking race 2moro. Ground should be gd or a touch quicker I would think. Would imagine that Kingfisher is in to set a half decent pace for the fav, notrhing mad just a honest gallop & also not to allow Mukhadram his own way off the front. If Oz is better at 10f (I think he poss will be) & is "fully fit" Then I would fancy him to get the better of Mukhadram (1,2) who for me is the next best horse in the race over 10f. Not a single punting race for me at the prices 2moro (had a small interest on Muk at 9.4 on here)to big imo) If both give their running 2moro I will do the forecast 1,2, in either order (just in case) for a bit interest. Gd luck with your bets lads & have a GREAT wk at York

Very classy performance from Oz in the Juddmonte 2day Looks even better at 10f & got the ground he likes to boot. Looked very well in the pre-parade ring (&fit) Sadly my little 1,2 forecast was sunk after about 3f of the race, cant pull like that & come home Prob 1 hard races 2 many in a short period for him 2day. Ire Champion Stks next for the winner I would think all being well. Well done Oz backers & the ew players of T G Gatsby , he ran a cracker.
