my first thought after today's race was Ebor (he ran a decent race in the Melrose at last year's Ebor Meeting).
Looks like he needs a fast surface to give of his best though so that, along with Cumani's Melbourne Cup quest, might well see you proven correct.

Caught the eye at Ascot.
Looks very much an Ebor horse.

This weekend and the Ebor will be very interesting for this horse.
He was 3rd in the mile and 6 Melrose with give in the ground last summer.
I know but on that form Dashing Star has the beating of him, his best performance was on fast ground. I wouldn't be shocked if he was pulled out tomorrow.
