Possibly.
But it's kept me close to the current leader. |
By:
leader has more Power Ten
By:
Yep. Slade Power has definitely given me that familiar sinking feeling...
By:
Ah well.
Still hopeful here. The leader had has 7 horses the same as me, but one of his was retired yesterday. |
By:
I've slipped down to 16th. Really need Taghrooda to win the KG.
By:
Taghrooda's form not given a boost yesterday. The decision not to run Taghrooda yesterday was largely down to the state of the ground and in part the fact that they had a good reserve in Tarfasha, but both horses needed cut. If the ground doesn't have soft in the description at Ascot then I think Muchkadram will be Hamdan Al Maktoum's runner and Taghrooda saved for another day.
By:
Then I'd want Magician to win the KG.
If Toronado wins the Sussex, that would boost me too. |

Only if you use the line through Tarfasha but if you use the line through Volume, it holds up very well. Don't think the fillies in general, and paticularly the 3yo, hold their form and are as consistent as the colts. Taghrooda will need to be special to win the King George, she left the impression that she might be when winning the Oaks, nothing that happened yesterday changed that. She won the Pretty Polly on Good to Firm (albeit beating nothing of note) and none of her three runs have been on ground with soft in the description. Her sire's progeny have their best win % on ground described as GF and the stats suggests the damsire's progeny perform best on ground described as GF or F. Sea The Stars himself won the 2000 Guineas and the Juddmonte on ground officially described as GF so I've no idea why you think they'll 'save her for another day' if the ground does n't have soft in the description at Ascot when they've specifically targeted the race. What are they gonna do? Wait for the Nassau and hope for some rain. They've already said she's retiring at the end of the year so they'll be wanting her to race through the summer I would have thought. If they wait for soft in the description they could end up going to the Arc without a run since the Oaks so it's arrant nonsense really. I've no idea whether she's special (my instincts tell me she might be because, from what I've seen she seems to have inherited her sire's temperament, attitude and talent) but she's only run 3 times so nobody else knows whether she's good enough either...but I'm pretty sure TTF will at least get a run for his money. |

Taghrooda pushes me back into the top 10. Cap Juluca is there too.
By:
well done, time I declared an interest...
Taghrooda puts me in the lead for the July monthly competition. I am not favourite though as those in 2nd and 3rd both have multiple options for the Sussex whereas I only have Kingman. I do have Toormore for the Lennox but so does the stable in second.I'll need both Toormore and Kingman to run and win to have a chance of taking the prize. So you want Toronado in the Sussex, I want Kingman.Such is life. Likely to be my only chance of winning a prize as I'm miles behind in the overall... |
By:
Back up to 33rd overall. Either Kingman or Toronado would do me in the Sussex.
By:
Good luck ReeseHeath for July prize.
By:
Yeah, good luck RH.
By:
Thank you, gents - good luck with the overall to both of you.
By:
Of the 32 people above us, all have Kingman, and all bar about 6 have Toronado, so the latter is my marginal preference.
By:
Unlucky today RH.
I can identify with that one, as I've just missed out on a few monthly prizes, as well as winning one. |

Shifting Power goes tomorrow at Goodwood in a Group 3. Could move me into the top 20 if he could win. He's one of my lowest scorers so far, alongside Treve and Kingston Hill, so a win for him would be a nice boost.
By:
Thanks T2F, I finished 2nd but, in terms of prizes, 10000th is as good as 2nd in the monthly competitions!
Boiled down to two heads in the end, the head Es Que Love beat Toormore and the head Darwin beat Toronado - if either of those had been the other way around, I'd have been the winner. In fairness, the winner led for a large part of the month, whereas I only hit the front for 3 days after the King George so I'm not too disappointed.First time I've been in contention for a prize... On to August, only Moviesta representing my stables today. |
By:
Shifitng Power will struggle to win a claimer on that showing. :(
By:
Surprised and pleased that Miss France and Intergral got beat in France.
By:
Big week.
Still in 7th place here. Sole Power is my key horse this week. Praying for sunshine and I will be there on Friday. |
By:
Austarlia winning nudged me up 1 place to 30th and onto the first page of the leaderboard.
Disgusting antics from Varian meant I was potentially robbed of points from Kingston Hill in the Voltigeur. Taghrooda tomorrow, then hope an unfancied horse wins the Nunthorpe, though Sole Power will just go and win it to give an ice bucket bath to my chances! |
By:
Sole Power has put me up into 3rd and 15th.
By:
well done T2F, Leading Light on Sunday likely to improve your position still further I would have thought...
...at what point will you start getting excited? |
By:
Nice one TTF.
Think I'm dead and burred after today. My thought have now turned towards jumpers (and I'm not talking about knitwear). Good luck and here's hoping you are still in with a chance come the climax. Hey, perhaps a trip to Paris is called for! |
By:
We'll DonetskWell done T2F. (I am sneaking up on the rails! Now in 27th)
By:
RH - I got excited when I moved to the top during Royal Ascot.
Realistically, a couple of months to go, so it's be great to go into the final day with a good chance. And thanks everyone. ![]() |
By:
Well done...in with a real shout now!
By:
Leading Light has put me into 2nd. And 13th.
By:
Nice....now....to stay there.
Good luck! |
By:
41st for us.
By:
Cheers JOCI.
By:
TTF...if only Taghrooda had won again.
By:
Yeah, she'd have made my week even better. But I have to be grateful for Hughsie finding that gap on Sole Power.
Been looking at what to fear. Looks like Slade Power, Kingston Hill and Ectot are the main contenders to spoil my party. |
By:
Watch out! Watch out! There's an Aardvark about!
By:
Still overall 2nd here.
Big weekend ahead though. |
By:
Kingston Hill or bust for me!
By:
Down to 4th here. But three runners tomorrow.
By:
17th, and with Treve, Toronado and Leading Light going tomorrow.
By:
Same three as me JOCI.
