Excellent race in prospect - are they going to the well once too often with Lethal Force, especially against Moonlight Cloud who loves this race. Some other decent runners to pick up any pieces should the big two not fire.
Haven't worked out an angle for a bet so far though.

I don't think they are going to the well too often as it is only LF's 4th run of the season and he is a thriving 4yo so it seems ok. Wary though he is racing abroad on foreign soil though and Dream Ahead ran a shocker in this when he tried. It is also an extra half furlong today so will his front running tactics set it up for MC? Dunno. Both top class horses, one to watch for me.

Boring but Moonlight Cloud for me, over this c/d she's top class and whilst I think Lethal Force is a top sprinter I think needs a career best to beat MC here. the 6/4+ looks good

I agree with uncle, I'm surprised they're running LF so soon after Newmarket. He put up the best 6f performance I've seen for a few years last time but I'm thinking that's got to have taken something out of him, especially as he'd also run fast prior to that at Ascot. Also his style of running doesn't give him much option to run within himself.

I have Moonlight Cloud 6lbs behind LF, even with her allowance, but the massive advantage she has here is her preparation, which should see her spot on today. Often I think a good preparation for a race outweighs ability and today will probably be one of those occasions. There's also the possibility she could improve again as a 5yo.

I think Gordon Lord Byron would've been a big danger on soft ground but can't fancy him to beat her on good going.

Lethal Force will find things much tougher here. He is probably the best of an average lot in the UK and is up against a top sprinter who has everything in her favour here. Moonlight Cloud for me although i expect Gale Force Ten to run much better than he did at Newmarket.

Moonlight Cloud must be the best horse in training - when she's good she just oozes class. Reckon she'd have won the Sussex had she run in it.ŷ

Whenever they have gone to foreign shores she gets beaten, but I blame JARNET and trainer for not employing local jockey, anybody but him.
Beaten twice at Ascot when she should have won.
Beaten at SANTA ANITA because JARNET does not do homework as to how to ride the course.

When she was beaten by BLACK CAVIAR she came from stall 5 and finished on B.CS inside to be beaten a head,
I estimate she lost 2 lengths doing that silly manoeuvre, JARNET is France's SPENSER.

A bit too much being made of the record time, the going description was bollocks again, more like just the fast side of good. It was still a good time, I have Moonlight Cloud improving 4lbs on her previous best. Lethal Force ran well but was still predictably below his best, unless you believe those moderate sprinters close behind GLB would've finished so close at Newmarket and Ascot, I don't.

Good summary there Figgis. She was the only bet for me though I missed the early 2's. LF had to be short after the July Cup yet trainers still come out and say they are on top form when they clearly cannot be. Especially sprinters who work as hard as LF does. Nice winner though.

Hopefully, brig, he'll be back to his best before the end of the season, wouldn't bank on it, though.

Hi Fig, been out. Yes I hope he is back but Cox has Reckless Abandon as well that is why I think they raced Lethal Force today when really he couldn't have been at his best, imo. Always a problem when a trainer has 2 of the same in his yard.
