I like Secret Witness here.
He doesn't have the sexiest profile but he goes well at York and has dropped to a mark of 98 for being beaten 2.5 lengths behind Slade Power at the Curragh.
He's been running off marks 100+ since the start of last season and ran several good races in defeat:
3rd here behind Judge and Jury off 100 over 5 furlongs (he's better at 6 imo).
3rd behind Doc Hay and Face The Problem at Donny beaten 1.5 lengths giving them 7lbs each
He was also 2nd here behind Hazelrigg giving him over a stone and beating Steps by 1.75 lengths giving him 12 lbs.
The jockey booking is a bit strange and I was hoping for Thomas Brown or another good claimer but I still think Secret Witness is overpriced at 25/1 especially with the 5 places on offer.
My main concern is the draw; he's 20/20. Does anyone have any thoughts on it?
