Looks a really tough competitive renewal. CoC is putting on 4mm of water on overnight which should take any sting or jar out of the ground. For me, from stall 1, this makes Big Break a bet. She does not have much to find on JTJ from the Irish Guineas and it is fair to assume she will improve for that run. JTJ is also draw wide and i'm not sure that will play to her strengths as she really needs a testing mile, perhaps even 10f. Sky Lantern is also badly drawn and is starting to look exposed in the context of some other runners in the race. It is also worth remembering Lillie Langrtry finished 5th in the Irish Guineas before taking this race at 4/1, so i'm happy to bet BB at 13/2 eachway.
I like the horse Murtagh is on. The horse she easily beat last time was not disgraced in Irish guineas and it seems he has been picking his rides very selectively this year.

Can't believe the draws for Sky Lantern and JTJ.....unbelievable. Was planning a big bet on the latter but will probably just lower my stakes considerably....Spencer from that far out? I just don't know....might as well just knock up a vet certificate and save her for the Falmouth.

Took a little bit of the 13/2 this morn on Big Break. Will need a bit of luck from stall 1 tho. Tough race (& prob a rough 1) 17runners . Only a small play for me. Gd luck punters.

Big Break travelled well, but just did not pick up from 2out. Prob not let herself down on the fast ground, think she needs a bit of ease in the ground.

two cracking rides from Spencer and Hughes imo....like the idea of JTJ up to 10furlongs. thinking the champion stakes will be her thing. The ladies have a very pleasing record in that and Al Kazeem might be a non runner with the Arc and maybe the BC his targets. hopefuly they dont burn her out before then.

I couldn't tip sh1t out of a bucket at the moment. Shocking.
Tremendous effort from the winner, she loves it rattling quick.
Deffo think BB needs some ease in the ground but probably not G1 level, we'll see.

Having viewed the race a few times now, Big Break does want a bit of ease in the ground & prob not getting home well enough over the stiff 1mile. Could see her being dropped to 7f next time. Time will tell. Winner is very smart indeed & that performance was another gd step forward & she looks like 10f will not be a prob to her, Nassau Stks at Goodwood could well be the next port of call.
