Who would have thought, watching Finians Rainbow saunter away with the Melling chase last year, that 12 months later he'd be back for the same race on the same going and be a rank outsider at around 16-1?
Still it was a weak race last year and even if he did bounce back to form I don't think a 7 length beating of Wishful thinking would get him near Cue Card or Sprinter. I think Cue Card is the play as distance should be prefect for him. It's not gtd Sprinter will stay.

Yep, though Finians has to be the freshest horse in the race. IF he does just want Good ground then he might be able to take advantage of a long season for the likes of CC.
But there is big Q's as to whether he is the same horse.

Probably not quite, but ran his best race for a while. Interesting to see what rating CC comes out with, because the distance back to the third was pretty staggering, but of course no-one really noticed because of the winner. Cue Card is getting better & better.
