Does anyone know anything about plans for Soll? Think he'd be a great bet in the Topham @ 15.5 though don't wanna lump on if he's being targeted at the National(if he gets in!)
You are correct BJG, they really want to go for the National as they expect a very big run. Topham will be a consolation for them if enough horses don't drop out of the big one.

The ground has gone against him regardless of what the trainer says about his good ground action. I'd probably still back him for the Topham on watered ground as I really believe he'll cope with the fences better than most. As for the National there's a video interview with the trainer on ATR where she says he'll run if he gets in. As he only needs a few to come out that looks likely. Blatant non-stayer at that trip. I've followed him for a couple of years and backed him last time. I believe three miles on soft ground are his perfect conditions.
